2 Volusia teens arrested in homeless man's death

The suspects said they beat the man because they were bored, police report.

Read the disturbing details HERE.

It's interesting to note the age difference here an, 18 year old male hanging with a 14 year old male, rather unusual unless it's a gang! How many 18 year old males do you know that have a club house? What's really sad here is the adults making excuses for the behavior acting as apologists for these thugs. How much do you want to bet one of these kids has a DVD of Bum Fights at home?

Spurgeon's aunt Tricia Elliott said her nephew often gets in fights but only to stick up for himself. Family members speculated whether the homeless man had done something to provoke the attack.

What could a homeless person do that would justify an attack like this?

The explanation that the suspects were just looking for something to do is not a surprise, said Deborah Day, a Winter Park forensic psychologist.

Typically, an instance such as this "isn't premeditated and thought out before it starts," Day said. "Then it becomes almost a game."

Day compared attacking a vulnerable group such as the homeless to a group of people torturing a defenseless animal.

"It's not that they were out looking to hurt someone, but they had spare time," Day said.

The poor children were bored! If only they had a good after school program unfortunate events like this could be avoided.

"I don't know what happened or what has been done, but this is not him," suspect's father Jeffery Spurgeon Sr. said. "I think it was more of a I want to look big in front of my friends kind of thing."

Spurgeon said his son and Scamahorn were not acting alone in the beating death.

Hey Daddy, you're part of the problem!

Accused teens scared neighbors
The pair, arrested in a homeless man's fatal beating, are called troublemakers.

Several children in Scamahorn's neighborhood said they stayed away from the teen because he was always getting in trouble. And parents forbade their children from going near his house. One mom said she sent her 15-year-old son to live with a relative for the summer to get him away from Scamahorn and his crowd.

Incident at Rainbow Bridge to Canada in Niagara Falls, NY - "Release of Unknown Substance"

Six Custom Agents Stricken with Flu-Like Symptoms at U.S. Bridge Stop
by Douglas J. Hagmann, Director

30 May 2005: ; 5:00 PM EDT: Shortly before 6:00 PM EDT on Sunday, 29 May 2005, a witness reported seeing a passenger vehicle bearing a Pennsylvania license plate being directed to a U.S. Customs pavilion, or a semi-enclosed area on the U.S. side of the Rainbow Bridge that spans between the United States and Canada. Another witness reported seeing the same event, which is not an unusual occurrence for this busy bridge that is used for non-commercial traffic between Niagara Falls, NY and Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. What happened next is sketchy at best, but generally consistent among each witness contacted and interviewed by the Northeast Intelligence Network.

Two U.S. Customs agents approached the vehicle and the occupants were asked to step out. Both witnesses stated that the vehicle was occupied by three individuals of Asian or Philippine ethnicity, later identified as Tommy Nguyen, Than Nguyen, and Cuong Hong, all reportedly U.S. citizens, who were told to stand near the front of the vehicle by 2 or 3 other customs agents.

As the primary customs agents inspected the vehicle, they found “a bag full of money,” later identified as $180,000 in counterfeit currency, hidden inside of the vehicle. Another witness reported seeing a puff of brownish-white smoke, “similar to a small smoke bomb,” “go off” near the vehicle that was being inspected, or somewhere near the underside of the pavilion. The origin of this smoke remains unknown at this time.

At that point, at least to customs agents began coughing and at least one stooped to the ground. “I thought someone set off tear gas or a smoke bomb,” stated the witness who asked not to be identified. “Someone yelled for an ambulance, and a few other agents in the area began coughing and having trouble breathing, some walking with their hands over their mouths and noses,” stated the witness.

”Agents moved people away from the vehicle and assisted those who appeared to be having trouble breathing. In minutes, about ten ambulances, police and other emergency vehicles arrived at the scene and closed the area off.”

In total, six U.S. Customs agents were transported to the emergency room at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls, NY. Thirty-four-(34) others were being assessed by physicians on the scene. According to hospital officials, the six “tested negative” for exposure to “chemical irritants” and were then released.

"At this point in the investigation, the currency does not appear to be tainted with any form of chemcial irritants," said Kevin Corsaro, the Border Protection Public Affairs Officer. "Additional tests are being conducted to determine the possible cause of the irritant."

Tommy Nguyen, Than Nguyen, and Cuong Hong are facing federal charges and have been turned over to the U.S. Secret Service along with the $180,000 in counterfeit cash.

What's your Money Blueprint?

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to get rich easily, while others are destined for a life of financial struggle? Is the difference found in their education, intelligence, skills, timing, work habits, contacts, luck, or their choice of jobs, businesses, or investments?

The shocking answer is: None of the above!

In his groundbreaking Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, T. Harv Eker states: “Give me five minutes, and I can predict your financial future for the rest of your life!” Eker does this by identifying your “money and success blueprint.” We all have a personal money blueprint engrained in our subconscious minds, and it is this blueprint, more than anything, that will determine our financial lives. You can know everything about marketing, sales, negotiations, stocks, real estate, and the world of finance. But if your money blueprint is not set for a high level of success, you will never have a lot of money—and if somehow you do, you will most likely lose it! The good news is that now you can actually reset your money blueprint to create natural and automatic success.

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind is two books in one. Part I explains how your money blueprint works. Through Eker’s rare combination of street smarts, humor, and heart, you will learn how your childhood influences have shaped your financial destiny. You will also learn how to identify your own money blueprint and “revise” it to not only create success but, more important, to keep and continually grow it.

In Part II you will be introduced to seventeen “Wealth files,” which describe exactly how rich people think and act differently than most poor and middle-class people. Each Wealth File includes specific steps for you to practice in the real world in order to dramatically increase your income and accumulate wealth.

If you are not doing as well financially as you would like, you will have to change your money blueprint. Unfortunately your current money blueprint will tend to stay with you for the rest of your life, unless you identify and revise it, and that’s exactly what you will do with the help of this extraordinary book. According to T. Harv Eker, its simple. If you think like rich people think and do what rich people do, chances are you’ll get rich too!

Using the principles he teaches, T. HARV EKER went from zero to millionaire in only two and a half years. Eker is president of Peak Potentials Training, one of the fastest growing success training companies in North America. With his unique brand of “street smarts with heart,” Eker’s humorous, “cut-to-the-chase” style keeps his audience spellbound. People come from all over the world to attend his sold-out seminars, where crowds often exceed 2,000 people for a weekend program. So far, Eker’s teachings have touched the lives of more than a quarter million people. Now, for the first time, he shares his proven secrets of success in this revolutionary book. Read it and grow rich!

Bush Welcomes Abbas at White House, Pledges $50 Million in Assistance

President Bush welcomed Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to the White House Thursday (May 26th), hailing him as a courageous democratic reformer. Bush also helped Abbas' standing back home by pledging $50 million in assistance for new housing in the Gaza Strip, which Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon plans to evacuate of Jewish settlements this summer, AP reports. The visit came just weeks before Palestinian parliamentary elections in which Abbas's supporters are going up against the militant group Hamas. Abbas is the first top Palestinian leader to visit the White House during Bush's presidency, since the president had refused to meet with Yasser Arafat, who died last year.

During his visit, Abbas said that Palestinians were, quote, "in dire need to have freedom" from Israeli control and that the need for U.S. help in the peace process was urgent. He also said his people are entitled to all the land lost to Israel in the 1967 Mideast war, including Gaza, the West Bank and east Jerusalem. During a joint news conference, Bush gave some support to the Palestinian position, saying any expansion of Israel's borders since the end of the 1948 war for independence, quote, "must be mutually agreed to." He also said Israel must remove any illegal outposts from the West Bank and stop expanding Jewish settlements there.

The two disagreed on the security wall being built by Israel, however, with Abbas calling it, quote, "illegitimate," but Bush saying it was part of an Israeli security effort, although adding it, quote, "must be a security rather than a political barrier."

How generous of Mr Bush. Somebody help me out with this story. How does building Palestinian homes in the Gaza strip become the responsibility of US taxpayers? Why not chase down the millions Yasser Arafat embezzled from his own people and use that money to build a settlement?

Doctors in UK call for knife ban

Honest to God, I can't make up stuff this good.

Doctors' kitchen knives ban call
A&E doctors are calling for a ban on long pointed kitchen knives to reduce deaths from stabbing.
A team from West Middlesex University Hospital said violent crime is on the increase - and kitchen knives are used in as many as half of all stabbings.

They argued many assaults are committed impulsively, prompted by alcohol and drugs, and a kitchen knife often makes an all too available weapon.

The research is published in the British Medical Journal.

Couey's niece: Jessica in closet

Investigators say as Jessica Lunsford lay bound in murder suspect John Couey's closet, they were misled as to his whereabouts — something records released Thursday suggest could have cost the 9-year-old girl her life.

"If they would have checked the closet the first day, she would still be alive," Couey's 15-year-old niece told investigators, according to transcripts.

The March 29 interview is part of more than 1,400 pages of documents released by the State Attorney's Office. The pages of evidence, interviews and material are the latest revelations in the case against Couey, who faces charges of capital murder, burglary, kidnapping and sexual battery after prosecutors say he entered the girl's home and held her captive before killing her. Amnesty International Condemns U.S. for Human Rights Violations

Amnesty International is condemning the U.S. for human rights violations and torture in its detention of terrorist suspects in prisons in Guantanamo Bay and around the globe in its annual report out today (May 25th), according to the Associated Press. The report was also highly critical of other nations, especially in the Middle East and Africa, but was especially pointed about what it said was America's failure to live up to its human rights rhetoric and the example it sets for other countries.

The section on the report on the U.S. focuses on Guantanamo Bay, where over 500 prisoners from 40 countries are being held. Many have been imprisoned for three years without having been charged, and Amnesty asserts that the U.S. has been creatively subverting international human rights laws by changing the terms of the debate. The report said, "Attempts to dilute the absolute ban on torture through new policies and quasi-management speak, such as 'environmental manipulation, stress positions and sensory manipulation,' was one of the most damaging assaults on global values" in the last year. The report also says that the U.S. has avoided national anti-torture laws by sending prisoners to third-party countries where there are less stringent restrictions. Amnesty called for Guantanamo to be closed, and its Secretary, General Irene Khan called it, quote, "the gulag of our time."

The U.S. has claimed that torture and murder such as the infamous events as Abu Ghraib and recently in Afghanistan were isolated events, and Navy Lieutenant Commander Joe Carpenter, a spokesman for the Department of Defense, recently told AP that the U.S. continues to be a leader in human rights and investigates all claims of abuse, though he had not yet seen a copy of the report.

These clowns have no credibility at all. They stood by silently as Terri Schiavo was starved and dehydrated to death.

Should U.S. Apologize for Treatment of American Indians?

GOP Senator Sam Brownback of Kansas yesterday (May 25th) urged the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs to pass a resolution apologizing on behalf of the United States to American Indians for centuries of massacres, broken treaties and other injustices, saying it would be a first step towards healing deep wounds. The U.S. has never formally apologized for its treatment of Native Americans, although the assistant secretary for Indian affairs apologized in 2000 for the past conduct of his agency.

According to Reuters, Brownback's resolution says that in addition to broken treaties and massacres, the U.S. must acknowledge and apologize for, quote, "ill-conceived federal policies ... such as extermination, termination, forced removal and relocation, the outlawing of traditional religions, and the destruction of sacred places."

However, Indian leaders at the hearing said they would need more than an apology to overcome the poverty, substance abuse, unemployment and health care problems that many of their people face. Edward Thomas, president of the central council of the Tlingit and Haida Indian tribes of Alaska, said, "An apology to us while ignoring the Third World conditions of so many of our people just doesn't seem genuine."

Do you think the U.S. should apologize to American Indians? Is it just me or do you hear a cash register in the background?

Judge Greer Declares Michael Schiavo Dead??

Terri Schiavo died at 9:05 a.m. on March 31.

Michael Schiavo didn’t waste any time in claiming her estate.

According to records filed in the clerk’s office of the Sixth Judicial Circuit, by 1:35 p.m. on March 31, he had filed a petition for administration of her estate before Pinellas County Probate Court Judge George W. Greer, the same judge who had ordered her death by starvation and dehydration.

Greer didn’t waste any time in signing the order for Schiavo.

But the order Greer issued on March 31 at 1:35 p.m. has a major problem.

House Republican Says Comedian Bill Maher's Joke 'Borders on Treason'

GOP Rep. Spencer Bachus of Alabama is charging that a comment by comedian Bill Maher on his HBO show, quote, "borders on treason," and he wants the show canceled. Bachus is angry with comments made by the comedian on his show, Real Time with Bill Maher, on May 13th, according to AP. In it, Maher was discussing the fact that the Army missed its recruiting goal by 42 percent in April. He said, "More people joined the Michael Jackson fan club. We've done picked all the low-lying Lynndie England fruit, and now we need warm bodies." England was accused of abusing prisoners at Abu Ghraib and was shown in several of the pictures of the abuse that were seen around the world.

Bachus told AP, "I think it borders on treason. In treason, one definition is to undermine the effort or national security of our country." He's written to HBO's parent company, Time Warner, saying, "I don't want [Maher] prosecuted. I want him off the air." Maher released a statement Monday night (May 23rd) defending his support for the armed forces. He said, "Anyone who knows anything about my views and has watched my show knows that I have nothing but the highest regard for the men and women serving this country around the world."

This isn't the first time Maher's drawn political fire. Numerous television stations pulled his former ABC show, Politically Incorrect, when he argued one week after the 9/11 attacks that the terrorists weren't cowards when they flew the planes into the World Trade Center, but the U.S. was for lobbing cruise missiles. He later apologized.

Do you think that what Maher said bordered on treason?
Should Maher's show be taken off the air?

Why don't we have Osama bin Laden? I'm talking about it Wednesday morning.

WHO: Gary Schroen, former CIA station chief in Pakistan, whose bosses asked him to target Osama bin Laden: "Bring his head back in a box." Schroen and his team of six men were on a plane - the first Americans to enter Afghanistan after the 9/11 attacks -- and over the next few weeks, Schroen was tracking down members of the Northern Alliance, paying $3-million in bribes to Afghan commanders...

WHAT: Schroen has new book -- FIRST IN: An Insider's Account of How the CIA Spear-headed the War on Terror in Afghanistan

WHAT'S MORE:
Schroen had recently retired from 35 years of service with the CIA when the U.S. was attacked by terrorists on 9/11. With experience operating in Afghanistan, he was tapped to lead a team to link with the Northern Alliance to prepare for a military operation against the Taliban. Two days before the attack on the U.S., Northern Alliance leaders had been killed, supposedly on the orders of Osama bin Ladin. On September 19, the CIA team, with six members and $3 million, deployed to Afghanistan on a harrowing mission that included the order to kill bin Ladin. Schroen offers a first-person account of the intricacies of American politics and military operations in an atmosphere charged with the war on terror. He also incorporates historical background of U.S and Soviet involvement in Afghanistan and how the nation came to be in play in the war on terrorism. In an afterword, Schroen looks back on the mission--its successes and failures--from the perspective of the recent elections in Afghanistan and acknowledges the continued challenges in the region.

Controversy colors teen book

A battle could be brewing in the book stacks over a new novel about teens and oral sex.

Rainbow Party, aimed at the teen market (ages 14 and up), has some booksellers and librarians wondering whether author Paul Ruditis sensationalizes the subject — and, more significantly, whether they should carry it on their shelves.

"Parents count on us to have books that are appropriate for their children," says Monica Holmes of Hicklebee's Books in San Jose, Calif. "We're not a conservative group, but this one is outside our safe area."

Elly Gore, a buyer for Harry W. Schwartz Bookshops in Milwaukee, concedes that the book is "edgy" but will stock it mainly because, she says, "I knew that if I skipped it, I would have been censoring it. ... I couldn't do that."

Rainbow Party (Simon & Schuster, $8.99) is about a group of teens who plan an oral-sex party at which each of the girls wears a different color of lipstick. Read the rest HERE.

Radio Jock Holds Abortion 'Contest'

"Earlier this week [of May 15, 2005], shock jock Elliot Segal of Washington, DC's radio station DC101 decided it would be hilarious to hold a contest with a prize for the listener who had the most abortions. While this contest was disgusting by its very nature, the offense was compounded because he held the competition on public airwaves during early morning hours, when people are driving to work and bringing their children to school. The 'contest' featured at least one potential statutory rape, two medical assaults and a number of callers proud of the children they had aborted.

"One caller, identified as K-Dog, proudly asserted that he was responsible for 16 abortions between two different women. K-Dog's second wife called in to proudly verify the 5 abortions she had with him. Graphic descriptions and crude jokes were included. Such depravity has no place on public airwaves.

"DC101's parent company, Clear Channel Communications, won applause last year when it dropped Howard Stern because he was deemed too offensive and controversial. It appears this brief dance with decency was merely a publicity stunt, as Stern alleged at the time.

Al-Jazeera Nixes Saddam Pics

Newsmax is reporting...

The Arab cable network Al-Jazeera is refusing to air photos of Saddam Hussein stripped down to his underwear while he was in custody last year, saying the pics, first published Friday by Britain's Sun newspaper, are too offensive.

Though the terrorist-friendly network had no problem broadcasting the gruesome video of the beheading of American Nick Berg, Al-Jazeera spokesman Jihad Ballout told the New York Post: "The [Saddam] photo is demeaning. From the professional side, it is not news."

Ballout didn't explain why the Berg execution - which featured stomach-churning footage of his head being sawed off, then held aloft by a proud terrorist - had more news value than a photo showing how the deposed dictator has been cut down to size.

Saddam routinely had his own torture victims tape-recorded. Videos of rape room victims would sometimes be delivered to the woman's family.

These idiots slay me! They have no problem showing an American being beheaded but they find Saddam in his underoos offensive? Give me a break!

Outsourcing America: What's Behind Our National Crisis And How We Can Reclaim American Jobs

Book Description
Foreword by Lou Dobbs
One of the hottest, most controversial topics in the news is the outsourcing of American jobs to other countries. Outsourced jobs are extending well beyond the manufacturing sector to include white-collar professionals, particularly in information technology, financial services, and customer service. Outsourcing America reveals just how much outsourcing is taking place, what its impact is and will be, and what can be done about the loss of jobs.

More than an exposŽ, the book shows how outsourcing is part of the historical economic shifts toward globalism and free trade, and demonstrates the impact of outsourcing on individual lives and communities. The authors discuss policies that countries like India and China use to attract U.S. industries, and they offer frank recommendations that business and political leaders must consider in order to confront this snowballing crisis -- and bring more high-paying jobs back to the U.S.

Author Ron Hira joins me Tuesday morning to talk about the outsourcing crisis, causes and solutions!

Experts: Deputies broke chase rules

Orange's sheriff says pursuit of an accused thief whose crash killed 2 was allowed.

A sheriff's helicopter and 21 Orange County deputies in patrol cars spent last Sunday morning trying to catch a teenager for taking his mom's pickup without permission.

I'm sick and tired of this Monday morning quarterbacking. The cops aren't the bad guys here. 19 year old Jonathon Kornexl is the bad guy. He's the clown that got high on crack, stole his mommy's truck(for the 4th time), ran through the red light and killed two innocent people. What ever happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Let's quit making excuses for the dregs of society!

Check out what Jim Phillips of PursuitWatch had to say on my show this morning.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Orange County Sheriff’s Office disregard of pursuit policy results in the death of 2 innocent bystanders

Orlando, Florida 5/22/05

Sometime before 8AM on Sunday, May 15th Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy Russell Kilgore ran the license plate of a suspicious vehicle he encountered and learned that the pickup was stolen by the owner’s son and that the occupant of the pickup was most certainly Jonathan Lee Kornexl. He followed the truck to a convenience store on the corner of W. Kaley and OBT and ordered the suspect to exit the pickup under gunpoint. The pickup sped away heading east on Kaley. When DS Kilgore and another deputy followed, the incident became, by policy definition, a vehicle pursuit regardless of the speed the deputies were traveling. Pursuit for a stolen vehicle is specifically forbidden by OCSO policy. The deputies further disobeyed policy by not activating their lights and siren while in pursuit. For approximately the next hour the OCSO played a cat and mouse game with the suspect involving no less than 13 deputies and an OCSO helicopter. Stop sticks were deployed at least 8 times which the suspect avoided by driving through the front and even back yards of residences, on the shoulder of the road and by turning away. The suspect was observed to ignore stop signs numerous times. This incident involves many violations of the OCSO’s Vehicle Pursuit Policy and shows a reckless "ratcheting" up of the pressure on the fleeing suspect which ultimately resulted in the tragic death of two innocent bystanders, Frantz Leander and his sister Carole Leander. This is precisely the type of incident that the revised OCSO pursuit policy was designed to prevent.

The incident has been reviewed and adjudged within policy by Chief Frank Frabrizio, Chief of the Patrol Division. This determination, given the overwhelming evidence of disregard of OCSO policy, and statements of Chief Frabrizio to the press and myself, brings into question whether the Orange County Sheriff’s Office is committed to the revised pursuit policy. PursuitWatch anxiously awaits the final determination of Sheriff Kevin Beary. It remains to be seen whether Sheriff Beary will reaffirm his commitment to the revised policy and take appropriate action to demonstrate that commitment or whether he will rubber stamp the self-serving judgements of his chain of command.

Tyranny Of The Minority

Judge Allows Four Florida Schools to Hold Graduation in a Church

A federal judge said yesterday he'll allow four Brevard County, Florida, high schools to hold their graduation ceremonies at a church, but he scolded the school district for choosing a religious facility. U.S. District Judge Gregory Presnell refused to stop the ceremonies because he said the case was filed too late, but he said, quote, "it seems clear to me that a secular facility ... should have been chosen."

A student, a Buddhist father, and another atheist parent filed suit to stop the ceremonies from being held at Calvary Chapel in Melbourne. According to Americans United for Separation of Church and State, which brought the suit on behalf of the plaintiffs, school officials refused to consider alternatives, conceding only turning off a light illuminating a 16-foot cross behind the sanctuary's dais.

However, school officials say there's nothing wrong with choosing the church for the ceremonies. Sara Stern, spokeswoman for Brevard Public Schools, told AP, "This is a graduation ceremony; it's not a religious ceremony. We're handling it as a purely secular purpose. Therefore, because there are no religious icons other than the cross in the back, we feel that the facility is not unconstitutional."

Is it just me or do the Buddhist and Atheist seem rather intolerant of Christianity? Why should 20,000 people be inconvenienced just because 3 selfish, malcontents have hang ups with Christianity? If they are that bothered by the cross, stay home!

Check out the website of Space Coast Freethought Association. This is the organization that Dianna Narciso (her son's a 9th grader not even graduating)belongs to, she's one of the three that started all the trouble. One of the group's goals is Freedom From Religion not Freedom Of Religion.

Sheriff Beary Need To Come In Studio And Answer Some Questions

Sheriff Beary has asked for an additional $16 million dollars in his budget. He wants to put 29 additional deputies on the street and give his current force a well deserved modest pay raise. Before he does that he needs to prove he's been a good steward of our money. An independent outside audit by someone other than FDLE can accomplish that goal. He also needs to address questions concerning the size and cost of his press office and whether or not the Orange County Sheriff's Dept. is top heavy. Sheriff Beary I'm offering my show as an open forum for you to come and make your case.

Mexican President Vicente Fox Doing What He Can To Set Race Relations Back About 40 Years

"There's no doubt that Mexican men and women — full of dignity, willpower and a capacity for work — are doing the work that not even blacks want to do in the United States."

Mexico Leader Regrets Comments About African Americans

Mexican President Vicente Fox apologized Monday for any hurt feelings that resulted over a comment he made about blacks in the United States. In a speech last Friday in which he talked about the dedication of Mexican workers in the U.S., Fox said they're willing to take jobs that, quote, "even blacks" won't do.

State Department spokesman Richard Boucher called the remark, quote, "very insensitive and inappropriate," according to the Associated Press. Meanwhile, African American leaders, including the Reverends Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, asked Fox to apologize for what they saw as offensive remarks.

Fox initially said that his comment was misinterpreted, but eventually told both Jackson and Sharpton that he, quote, "regretted any hurt feelings" and has great respect for the African-American community in the United States. He also invited the two leaders to Mexico to discuss how to better the relationship between blacks and Hispanics in the U.S.

Many Mexicans, however, believe Americans overreacted to Fox's comments, including said Manuel Espino, leader of the conservative National Action Party, who said, "This is an exaggeration. There have been a lot harsher comments that come from north of the border, and we don't scream and shout about it."

Fox is partially right, I don't know why he singled out blacks. Illegal immigrants, I'm sorry, undocumented workers are doing jobs that Americans are unwilling to do or they are doing it at below market value. They are a cheap labor force being exploited. They wouldn't be here if there wasn't a demand for their services. We are part of the problem! I also believe that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton will come back from their visit to Mexico with buckets full of cash.

Funding for impotence drugs riles lawmakers

The Washington Times is reporting...

The federal government will spend nearly $2 billion in the next decade on male impotence drugs under its Medicare program, according to a new cost estimate from the Congressional Budget Office that is fueling some lawmakers' efforts to end that spending.
Rep. Steve King, Iowa Republican, is sponsoring a bill to prohibit most erectile dysfunction drug sales under Medicare, the government's insurance program for the elderly and disabled, and released the cost figures yesterday as part of his effort.

Needless to say I adamantly oppose picking up the tab for Grandpa's recreational sex drugs.

Sex prank goes wrong

This is one funny story! I'd like to hang around the lady that pulled the prank.

A NORTHERN Territory dog club member who had a dispute with two women office-bearers took out newspaper advertisements with their telephone numbers touting them as sex workers, a Darwin court has heard.

"Pauline, erotic fantasies are what I like. Home all day," was the come-on line for a 72-year-old wheelchair-bound woman.
"Sandy, bashful, bring your toys, a devil after midnight," was the wording for the other woman, a 56-year-old working an evening shift.

Both women were woken by the calls, the first at 2am after the Saturday Northern Territory News hit the streets on November 27.

Their phones then "rang incessantly with numerous uninvited calls", until the next Saturday edition, with one woman receiving 63 calls despite unplugging her phone from time to time.

"Both victims suffered substantial annoyance from calls from unidentified males," said prosecutor Sergeant Gavin Kennedy.

Wexler offers proposal to fix Social Security

Rep. Robert Wexler, Florida Democrat, broke with his party leadership yesterday and introduced a plan to fix Social Security by raising taxes, saying it's time more Democrats join the dialogue by introducing plans of their own.
"I hope mine is the first of several Democratic plans that are offered," Mr. Wexler said. "I believe it's time Democrats offer an alternative to the president."

Who says the democrats are devoid of any ideas of their own? Here's Wexler's original plan, brace yourself- Raise taxes! Wait it gets better. Raise taxes on the rich! That's right they've gone back to their bag of tricks and pulled out "Class Envy". Let's punish the most successful members of society and those that dare to hire them. Have the most productive members of society pick up the slack. I was expecting something innovative like means testing, privatization, cutting benefits or raising the retirement age. All I got was the same old tired solution, jack up the taxes.

How's this one for an innovative solution?
Dem Wants to Block Pension Defaults After United Airlines Okayed to Dump Pension Plan

Democratic Rep. George Miller of California wants Congress to impose a six-month moratorium blocking bankrupt companies from dropping their workers' pension plans after United Airlines was allowed to do so last week. A bankruptcy judge approved a deal between United and the federal agency that insures pensions that allows the airline to end its pension plans, in what is the largest corporate pension default in U.S. history. Under the deal, the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. would guarantee $6.6 billion of the nearly $10 billion in benefits in United's pension plans, meaning many workers will get pension cuts.

Miller, who's worried this could lead to a rash of other struggling airlines and other industries following suit, teamed up with fellow Democratic Rep. Jan Schakowsky of Illinois to introduce legislation Friday to stop pension defaults for six months while Congress considers what should be done. Miller wants to raise the issue with House Education and Workforce Committee Chairman John Boehner, an Ohio Republican, who's been working on a bill to reform traditional pensions. There are also other congressional efforts pending to deal with the pension issue, but Miller is worried too many defaults will take place before Congress acts, and so is asking for the ban.

A House Democratic staffer told Reuters there is precedent for a pension default moratorium. In the 1980s, Congress intervened in similar way after LTV Steel Corp. announced it wouldn't pay health benefits for retirees. Congress then changed bankruptcy law to prevent companies from arbitrarily canceling health benefits.

This isn't a solution it's a joke! It's called delaying the inevitable.

Now here's a real solution to the problem. Letting workers invest Social Security taxes through private accounts would guarantee they don't end up like the poor suckers at United Airlines.

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. is headed for a spectacular bankruptcy following United Airlines' decision to terminate its retirement plan and leave the $6.6 billion burden to the PBGC. That's why the agency was created: to bail out private pension plans that can't make good on their obligations, says Investor's Business Daily (IBD).

US Airways also is in bankruptcy, and it too has dumped $3 billion in retiree obligations on the PBGC. Delta threatens to drop its plan as well. A host of steel companies have already done so. Could General Motors and other automakers be next?

PBGC's deterioration under the onslaught of collapsing private retirement plans is alarming, says IBD:

Last year it ran $23 billion in the red, nearly double its loss of a year earlier. This year, the deficit will likely be even worse.

Just five years ago, PBGC ran a surplus, but 9-11, a recession and bad decision-making by corporate investment managers undercut all that.

Today, private pension funds owe some $450 billion more to their retirees than they can pay.

There is a lesson here and it pertains to Social Security reform, says IBD. With $13 trillion in unfunded liabilities, Social Security's problems dwarf PBGC's. Yet, it's pretty much the same deal: Workers have been promised everything, but there's not enough money to pay for it all.

Workers whose retirement plans are taken over by the PBGC see retirement benefits slashed by as much as 50 percent. The same thing will happen to today's workers in Social Security, says IBD.

Letting workers invest Social Security taxes in private accounts -- ones they actually own, with real money in them -- would guarantee they don't end up like the unfortunate employees of United, says IBD.

Jack Kelly: Nowhere to run. The insurgents in Iraq are active, but increasingly desperate

More than 400 people have been killed in Iraq in the last two weeks, including at least five U.S. Marines taking part in Operation Matador in western Iraq.

A reader wants to know if, in light of this upsurge in violence, Jack Kelly still believes, as he wrote in a column Feb. 27, that "the war in Iraq is all but won."

His answer an emphatic yes!

Jack Kelly of The Pittsburgh Post Gazette will be on my show Tuesday to tell us why.

CHARGES OF "BRIBERY AND INTIMIDATION" BY FLORIDA HOSPITAL AS CONGRESSIONAL INQUIRY EXPANDS

Orlando, FL - In an explosive development, Florida Hospital, an Adventist Health System hospital, appears to have attempted to "bribe and intimidate" an uninsured family after family members met with staff members early last week of the powerful U.S. House Ways and Means Oversight Subcommittee to give a personal account about abuses by the so-called "not-for-profit" hospital.

Consejo de Latinos Unidos, a non-profit organization that aids and educates uninsured Hispanics and others, will outline the damning behavior against the Vega family during a news conference tomorrow, Monday May 16, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. EDT at the Hampton Inn Orlando North Universal Boulevard Area, 5621 Windhover Drive (Near Kirkman and Vineland), Orlando.

"If this were to have happened in a court of law, it would simply be called witness tampering," said K.B. Forbes, Executive Director of the Consejo. "Florida Hospital did nothing to help this uninsured family and now they are scrambling to cover their tracks with a specious offer that includes a fully-paid ocean cruise for family members."

In the spring of 2004, Rodney Vega, then 5-years-old, needed a brain tumor removed. Florida Hospital appears to have refused to provide help after a physician in Miami told Rodney's mother that her son had two weeks to live. She contacted the Consejo, which arranged for Rodney's immediate treatment. What is astonishing about their plight is that the Vegas are practicing Adventists, and Rodney's father is a pastor for the church. Florida Hospital claims to be an "Adventist" entity, yet did nothing to help the family.

Last week, Rodney's mother gave the Oversight Subcommittee authorization to look at her son's medical records. On Friday morning, officials from Florida Hospital and a chaplain associated with the hospital contacted the Vegas; the same day www.wherethemoneygoes.com highlighted the story.

'Newsweek' Apologizes for Errors in Koran Desecration Story that Led to Deadly Anti-American Protests

Newsweek magazine is apologizing for errors in a story that charged interrogators at the U.S. detention center in Guantanamo Bay desecrated the Koran, the Muslim holy book. The story led to angry, violent protests across the Muslim world, beginning in Afghanistan, where 16 people were killed. On Sunday, Afghan Muslim clerics threatened to call for a holy war against the U.S. Newsweek Editor Mark Whitaker wrote in a note to readers, We regret that we got any part of our story wrong, and extend our sympathies to victims of the violence and to the U.S. soldiers caught in its midst." He said the magazine would re-examine the accusations.
In the May 9th issue, Newsweek reported in a brief item that military investigators had found evidence that interrogators placed copies of the Koran in bathrooms and had flushed one down the toilet to get inmates to talk. Whitaker said the information came from, quote, "a knowledgeable U.S. government source." However, a Pentagon spokesman told the magazine Friday that a review of that investigation found, quote, "it was never meant to look into charges of Koran desecration." The spokesman also said the Pentagon had investigated other desecration charges by detainees and found them, quote, 'not credible.'" Still, the military is investigating the new charges to see if they are true or not.

Whitaker also said the magazine's original source later said he couldn't be sure he read about the alleged Koran incident in the report they cited, and that it might have been in another document.

The author of the story and the editor should be fired for gross incompetence. How stupid are the people that rioted? Try flushing a book down the toilet, it doesn't work. Ignorance of western plumbing is responsible for the death of 16 people.

#84! Your Tax Dollars at Work: HS Football Coach Arrested at Park For Giving Oral Sex to County Worker - Does it help to know it was a park were the school district routinely takes kids to teach them about nature? Probably not. Jeffrey Saunders, an assistant football coach at Lake Howell High School was arrested over the weekend after police caught him committing sexual acts with another man (a county employee named John Salvatore) at Seminole Environmental Studies Park. Interestingly enough, Saunders was teaching and coaching despite an arrest at the same park back in 2002 for soliciting sex from an undercover officer. Why wasn't that incident caught in Saunders background check when he was hired at the school? Because he was already an employee starting in 2001 and the district relies on--I'm not making this up--an honor system for employees to report themselves should they be arrested. According to a shocked school official Saunders arrest "appears to have exposed a loophole in the background check system." Ya think? Oh, and even though the park is used for school field trips, it's also a well-known hangout for gay men who want anonymous sex. I'm thinking it may not be as popular know as it used to be. Saunders has been suspended from his job as an assistant coach at Lake Howell. Hat Tip to Bob Reno's Bad Jocks.

Condoleezza Rice: Gun Rights as Important as Free Speech and Religion

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said last night on CNN's Larry King Live that the right to bear arms is as important as freedom of religion or speech. Rice said she feels that way because of her personal experience as a girl, when her father, a black minister, and his friends armed themselves to defend the black community in Birmingham, Alabama, against the White Knight Riders in 1962 and 1963. She said if local officials had had lists of registered weapons, she didn't think her father and others would have been able to defend themselves.

Although saying she favors background checks and controls at gun shows, Rice said, "We have to be very careful when we start abridging rights that the Founding Fathers thought very important." She said they understood, quote, "there might be circumstances ... like my father experienced ... when, in fact, the police weren't going to protect you." Rice further explained, "I also don't think we get to pick and choose from the Constitution. The Second Amendment is as important as the First Amendment."

A possible solution for ending runaway growth in central Florida-implement a State Income Tax.

DEEP IN THE HEART OF TAXES

For almost a decade Texas has been grappling with court orders to provide "equitable" financing for the state's school system. The Republican-controlled legislature has now interpreted this to mean that the entire tax system in Texas has to be scrapped to raise more money, putting Texas's status as one of only nine states without an income tax is in serious peril. Both the state Senate and House have endorsed what Republican Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst is calling a "wage tax."

A wage tax is of course a fancy disguise for a personal income tax, and imposing one is a sure way to put a state on the path to slower growth, says the Wall Street Journal:

Since 1990 the nine states without income taxes have enjoyed twice the rate of job growth and 2.5 times the population growth of the highest income tax states.
Capital, jobs and economic development in America are migrating from high-tax states to low, and from blue states to red.
Why would fast-growing Texas want to imitate New York and Massachusetts?
In Texas and other states under court orders, "equity" has become a code word for Robin Hood financing schemes that redistribute school cash. This has reduced the authority of local school districts and parents, while empowering state-run education departments and teachers unions with a stranglehold on the schools.

In 2002 Texas voters gave Republicans control of the Legislature for the first time in 100 years on a pledge to keep government spending under control and maintain a pro-growth tax system. The Dewhurst plan violates both of those conservative governing principles and is the surest way to get the GOP thrown out of office, says the Journal.

How pathetic! Another faked Hate Crime. Remember it's all about VICTIM status.

Alleged gay-bashing at Marin high school a hoax, police said

MILL VALLEY ---- A 17-year-old top wrestler at an area high school here faked a series of gay-bashing incidents that prompted a police investigation, authorities said.

The rash of gay-bashing incidents at Tamalpais High School was the work of a student gay leader who claimed she was the victim of hate crimes, according to Mill Valley Police Capt. James Wickham.

The 17-year-old girl who leads the school's Gay-Straight Alliance admitted to authorities she was the perpetrator of the incidents, which included vandalizing her own car with derogatory graffiti, police said.

Other incidents involved teachers who received threatening telephone messages.

"It has been determined that all the incidents have been committed by a single individual," Wickham said.

The student was not identified by police.

The girl has been suspended and could face expulsion, said Bob Ferguson, district school superintendent.

"She confessed to everything," Ferguson said. "She did admit to police that it was basically for attention."

The student was not arrested, but police said the case would be referred to the Marin County District Attorney's Office for review.

In a series of incidents dating back to November, the student claimed she was the target of hateful language, with anti-gay epithets scrawled on her car and on her school locker. She told police she was pelted with eggs outside her home by an unknown assailant.

“We got it all wrong, we should be having MORE children not LESS!”

Rachel Scott, mother of 8 children, believes the solution to society’s problems is for families to have more children instead of less. She'll be on my show Wednesday morning to make her case.

People have traded children for luxury goods! We have become a selfish society… 50 years ago the idea was that family made your life full, today people look to BMW’s, world travel, designer clothes, 10,000 sq ft houses in gated communities and even their pets to bring them happiness.

We are a disposable society-We want things to be quick, fast and easy. We like fast food, disposable diapers and microwave ovens. If children do not fit into our lives we abort them. We expect our bodies to cooperate much the same way. When we do not want a child we use the pill to turn our fertility off. Then, if we want a child, we go off the pill and expect our fertility to turn back on. Then after we have our child and feel done, we dispose of our fertility by getting sterilized.

The divorce rate in America is over 50% - We no longer value the long term ideal of marriages that end "happily ever after." People marry, decide that they do not want children and figure that they will divorce if it doesn’t work out. People used to stay together for the sake of the children they shared. Now there are no longer children to stay together for the sake of.

The death culture is destroying our country- death is all around us! Abortions, suicides, death in our reproductive organs. 100 years ago cancer of the reproductive organs in men and women was unheard of; now every 6.4 minutes, over 80 times a day, a woman in the USA is diagnosed with some form of gynecological cancer and reproductive cancers in men are at all time highs. Our choices not to birth children support the death culture and our physical bodies are paying the price.

Social Security System in Danger –When social security started, the average American family had 5 children/household, today the rate has fallen to 1.8 children /household. Americans are not having enough children to support the future of our Social Security System. It is not uncommon for foreign countries, such as Israel, Australia and Italy, to pay couples thousands of dollars to have a child because the government needs future income. In Italy (the country with the lowest birthrate worldwide), hundreds of villages are dying out because people are not having children.

The Golden years are not so Golden- With rising infertility rates and increased apathy towards having children, many seniors are finding themselves without grandchildren to love and care for.

“More children” is the answer because it makes families and society stronger -At the turn of the last century, President Theodore Roosevelt, father of six children himself, warned against the trend toward smaller families. He saw this tend as something that would weaken the moral foundation of American society. Down through the ages, people groups worldwide have built their societies upon the foundation of stable families. When the infrastructure of the family was compromised, the society fell.

Rachel Scott is 43 and the mother of 8 children ages 8 mos-22 years old. She has been married to her husband Christopher for 25 years. She lives in Windermere, Florida with her husband and 8 children. She is a published author, a speaker and is almost finished writing her second book: “Tips for raising a larger family in today’s society. To caontact Rachel or order her book e-mail her at the following address rachelmscott99@aol.com. ”

Girl's abortion was legal; the reason for it wasn't

Now that a judge has settled the question of whether a 13-year-old can consent to an abortion, the focus is shifting to another question: Can a 13-year-old consent to sex? Because Florida law says the answer is no, police correctly are trying to find the male who impregnated the teen identified as L.G.

It is unknown where L.G. got pregnant. In February, she ran away from a St. Petersburg group home, and later found out she was pregnant. She told her birth mother, who lost her parental rights in 2001, that she was living near the state home with a 28- or 30-year-old man.

A crime has been committed. Read the rest HERE.

AMERICA: MEXICO'S ATM

That "giant sucking sound" you hear isn't the jobs that Ross Perot warned we'd lose to Mexico due to NAFTA. It's from all the cash Mexico is collecting from illegals working on this side of the border, says Investor's Business Daily (IBD).

Funds sent home from Mexican immigrants, both legal and illegal, now outstrip revenues from foreign investors and tourism in Mexico. And "migradollars" are on course to surpass even revenues from Pemex, the state oil company, making them the country's largest source of income.

Furthermore:

Revenues from Mexican workers in the United States are critical to Mexico's economy, accounting for nearly one-fifth of its gross domestic product (GDP).

They've grown at a 17.6 percent annual clip over the past decade -- thanks to an explosion of illegal immigration -- and are expected to grow by more than 20 percent a year over the next decade.

U.S. banks are offering Mexican workers ATM cards -- such as Wachovia's Dinero Directo card -- that make it easier for them to transfer money home to relatives; this year they'll wire as much as $20 billion in cash.

For lucky recipients south of the border, where the average wage is below $2 an hour, remittances account for 80 percent of household income.

Mexican President Vicente Fox is also hoping to get assistance for worker's retirement, by pushing a totalization deal with President Bush to permit even Mexicans who have worked in this country illegally to draw U.S. Social Security benefits, says IBD.

The best way to promote reform south of us (to say nothing of Social Security) is to secure our borders -- remember 9-11?-- and pressure Mexico to fix its economy, says IBD.

As lives get longer, benefits should come later Change would curb the costs that drive Social Security's shortfall.

When President Bush recently proposed curbing Social Security benefits for middle- and upper-income workers, he certainly took a gamble.

His plan, known as “progressive indexing,” would slice deeply into monthly benefits and not just for the rich. A 25-year-old making $36,000, for instance, would get checks 16% smaller at retirement than what's currently promised. Reductions rise with incomes. Perhaps unsurprisingly, initial reviews of the plan have been mixed at best.

But hate it or love it, Bush's idea at least creates a benchmark to measure other sacrifices against. No cost-free alternative exists, but we think a better tradeoff is available: Increase the retirement age.

The Social Security Crisis- should we cut benefits or raise the retirement age? I'm talking about it Tuesday morning on The Pat Campbell Show.

Runaway bride's served time for shoplifting!

ATLANTA- Court records reportedly show that runaway bride Jennifer Wilbanks served jail time for shoplifting several years ago.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting Wilbanks faced a felony charge back in 1996 for allegedly shoplifting $1,700 worth of merchandise from a mall. Records show the prosecutor in that case dropped the charge after Wilbanks completed a program of community service and restitution. That prosecutor is now serving as Wilbanks' attorney.

In a separate case, court records show Wilbanks served two weekends in jail after pleading guilty to another shoplifting charge. A judge sentenced her to probation, a $400 fine, and community service.

Jennifer not only had cold feet but sticky fingers as well.

LOS ANGELES, MEXICO ?

Many Hispanic activists, Mexican citizens and perhaps even members of the Mexican government refuse to accept the legality of our 1845 annexation of Texas, the 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo after the Mexican-American War, or the 1852 Gadsden Purchase, says Investor's Business Daily (IBD).

One of these activists is Charles Trujillo, a professor at the University of New Mexico:

He predicts a new, sovereign Hispanic nation within this century encompassing much of the American southwest and part of northern Mexico.

States have the right to secede under our original Articles of Confederation, he contends, and this will be accomplished by the electoral pressure of future majority Hispanic populations in these states.

Another is the Hispanic student activist group known as MECHa, an acronym for Movimento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan (Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan):

It claims that California, Arizona, Mexico, Texas and southern Colorado were stolen and should be returned to their rightful owners, the people of Mexico, under the name "Nation of Aztlan." Aztlan is the mythical place where the Aztecs are said to have originated.

Few caught the significance of the words of then-Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo before the National Council of La Raza in Chicago on July 27, 1997: "I have proudly affirmed that the Mexican nation extends beyond the territory enclosed by its borders."

Current President Vicente Fox repeated this line during a 2001 visit to the United States, when he called for open borders and endorsed Mexico's new dual citizenship law.

A June 2002 Zogby poll found that the majority of Mexican citizens agree with him and hold the view that, since the Southwest United States really belongs to Mexico, they do not need permission to enter. The poll found that 58 percent of Mexicans agreed with the statement, "The territory of the United States' Southwest rightfully belongs to Mexico."

What's a Mother worth?

An informal study out just in time for Mother's Day from the website Salary.com found that stay-at-home moms would earn an average of $131,471 annually, including overtime, if they received a paycheck. That salary is based on a 100-hour work week and assumes caring for at least two children of school age. Mothers were asked to come up with job titles that fit a general description of their daily routines, and what they came up with included day-care center teacher, van driver, housekeeper, cook, CEO, nurse and general maintenance worker. Salary.com, which tracks what jobs pay, suggested that the annual base pay for a 40-hour mom's workweek would be $43,461. They would earn an additional $88,009 a year for 60 hours of overtime each week.

Famed detective Mark Fuhrman, whose independent investigation into the Martha Moxley murder led to the conviction of Kennedy-cousin Michael Skakel, is probing the Terri Schiavo forced starvation case.

He spent a month on the ground in Tampa. He's talked to many of the principals involved investigating the case and he's coming out with a book. Hannity said he personally contacted Mark Fuhrman in March to suggest he probe a myriad of unresolved questions about Ms. Schiavo's condition, including a 1991 bone scan report showing that Schiavo suffered fractures sometime prior to being found unconscious in her home in Feb. 1990.

Schiavo's family has repeatedly said they suspect Terri's condition was the result of a violent fight she had with her husband Michael. Police never probed the case for evidence of assault because by the time the bone scan became public in 2002, the statute of limitations had run.

Det. Fuhrman's investigation would be the first to review the case for evidence of a possible crime.

"All I can say,is that this is not over, stay tuned" said Furhman.

Fuhrman's book "Murder in Greenwich" was widely credited with blowing the lid off the Moxley-Skakel case.

Carl Limbacher from NewsMax.com will be on the show Monday to talk about this story and more.

Last 'Star Wars' Movie Said Not for Kids

And apparently, "Star Wars" is not for children. It's a dark, violent movie. So your kids come to you and say they want to go please, please, please, please, please, please, PLEASE, and what do you do? This will be a huge issue in a lot of households.

Here they are The Packer Sisters, Patty is on the left and Madie is on the right. As you know I was broadcasting live from Disney's MGM Studios today as part of The Happiest Celebration on Earth. We're going to be hearing more from the Packer Sisters, stay tuned. Posted by Hello

Street racers could lose their wheels

The problem Street Racing

Under current law, first-time offenders can serve only a maximum of 60 days in jail and second-time offenders just a year in jail.

The solution?

HB 71 The proposal calls for first-time offenders to be charged with a first-degree misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail. For a second offense in a five-year period, drag racers can be charged with a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

So far so good

Under the bill sent to Gov. Jeb Bush, racers could face up to five years in prison and lose their cars.

This property seizure crosses the line and it won't hold up in court.

Undermining juvenile justice

It's one of those odd occasions I actually agree with the Orlando Sentinel.

Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary's plan to display on the Internet the photographs of 53 juveniles who committed sex crimes is a terrible idea.

Once other kids find out who the sex offenders are they're dead meat. You may as well sign their death warrant.

The Ted Nugent Kamp For Kids provides boys and girls aged 9-15, with the ultimate outdoor experience and teaches them to be assets to their lives, their families, their communities and nature. With the belief that the youth of today are the future of America, Nugent explains, “Ted Nugent Kamp For Kids is a celebration of the American Dream, of being the best that you can be. Our kids get a spirit rousing hands-on lesson in a quality of life upgrade by connecting to the good mother earth and our intellectual drive to be better and more conscientious stewards of our precious life-giving renewable resources. Through the disciplines of certified hunter safety courses, archery and firearms training, these kids immerse themselves in the dynamic of that higher level of awareness that is the ultimate outdoors lifestyle radar celebration. Autopsy Rules Fetus Was Stillborn In Abortion Clinic Case

Local6 is reporting...

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The fetus of a woman who says her abortion was botched was born stillborn, not born alive as she said, the medical examiner concluded.

There is "no forensic evidence that the fetus was born alive," Dr. Jan Garavaglia, chief medical examiner in Orange County, said of last week procedure.

Dr. G is a pro. If she says the baby was stillborn it must be so. This story was shaky from the get go.

Schiavo Judge To Be Honored

NEW PORT RICHEY - Pinellas- Pasco Circuit Judge George Greer, who was thrust into the national spotlight and scrutinized by pro-life advocates during the Terri Schiavo case, was a consistent judge who followed the law, colleagues say.
His professionalism and integrity was punctuated by the way he handled the Schiavo case, said Alan Scott Miller, a New Port Richey lawyer and member of the West Pasco Bar Association.

As part of Law Week, which kicks off today, the association will award Greer, 63, its Special Justice Award.

``He's getting this award for all of his contributions on the bench, not just the Schiavo case,'' Miller said. ``It's like a lifetime achievement award for an actor.''

Get me a bucket I'm going to puke!

Legislator takes to airwaves

U.S. Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite says she's working on "Plan B" in the wake of the State Attorney's Office saying it would not prosecute three housemates of murder suspect John Couey after investigators say they lied about his whereabouts.

The congresswoman said her "Plan B" is to ask for the case to be handed over to a grand jury for review, saying King has "prejudiced the case."

Good luck! My listeners didn't have any success calling on Gov. Jeb Bush to appoint a special prosecutor. All we got was the run around, he claimed he didn't have the constitutional authority.

The St. Petersburg Times lashes out at O'Reilly

The gloves are off!

Brown-Waite, O'Reilly interference not helpful

In one corner, we have a tag-team that could work the Catskills circuit as a vaudeville act: Television's reigning merchant of outrage, Bill O'Reilly, and our own hyphenated congresswoman, Ginny Brown-Waite.

O'Reilly is fresh off the quiet settlement of an embarrassing sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a female Fox News producer involving unwanted phone call advances from the popular pundit. Her suit gave graphic accounts of O'Reilly breathlessly regaling her with tales of Caribbean shower fantasies, Thailand sex shows and creative ways he can use a vibrator and a loofah sponge.

Brown-Waite has crossed paths with King once before in another case involving the question of whether to press charges. Back in 2002, her husband, Harvey Waite, was caught by Hernando County deputies vandalizing campaign signs of her opponent, Karen Thurman. Funny, Ginny didn't seem too upset then when King decided not to bring charges.
Read the rest of the article click HERE.

This high-profile wrestling match went into another round Friday when King fired off a letter to O'Reilly telling him to call off his dogs, his staffers who King said have been harassing the State Attorney's wife and children, neighbors and co-workers.

Uninsured And Unlawful

The Census Bureau's Survey of Income and Program Participation found that 19 million Americans go without insurance for a full year. Many, however, are illegal immigrants, says Investor's Business Daily (IBD).

States with the highest concentrations of uninsured tend to be the border states with Mexico and their neighbors, and other states where there are large populations of illegal immigrants (New York, Florida, Illinois).

Those who count say there might be as many as 11 million illegal immigrants in this country. Of the 19 million (or whatever figure is chosen for the point of argument) who go without insurance for a full year, how many of them are undocumented workers? It's impossible to know exactly. But in any case, it would be a large share, says IBD.

What we do know is uninsured undocumented workers are breaking local governments:

In Southern California they have contributed to the $1.2 billion deficit that is plaguing the Los Angeles County Health Department.

Last year alone the county spent $340 million to treat uninsured patients while the state was saddled with $1.4 billion in unreimbursed health care costs.

Texas spent $850 million for the same reason, while in Arizona, the price tag was $400 million.

How to solve this? One answer is to deny treatment to patients who cannot prove their citizenship or show that they have health insurance. That is likely to prove to be politically impossible, explains IBD.

A better answer is to secure our borders and to put a lot of pressure on Mexico to fix its economy. As long as opportunities here are so much better than opportunities there, desperate people will take the risk to cross illegally. And our health care problem will only get worse, says IBD.
